Frequently Asked Question

The design toolbox window holds all items which can be placed on the screen. This window is automatically opened whenever the user enters design mode.

1. Contains shapes without any action, these shapes cannot be connected to an OPC tag and these cannot be controlled or used in the RecipeWriter.
2. Interactive shapes. These shapes cannot be connected to an OPC tag but can perform different kinds of actions.
3. Digital devices. These shapes can be connected to an OPC tag and thus can be controlled or used in the RecipeWriter. These shapes represent physical devices in an installation.
4. Analog devices. These shapes can be connected to an OPC tag and thus can be controlled or used in the RecipeWriter. These shapes represent physical devices in an installation.
5. Non-connectable analog devices. These shapes cannot be connected to an OPC tag. However, they can manipulate a value or be used through the RecipeWriter.
