My Semca project cannot be opened.

When your computer crashes our is not shutdown properly, your Semca project can get corrupted. If you've configured that project to be autoloaded upon startup, it will result in Semca not being able to start at all.

Warning:

The solution below will result in inaccessibility of your project files!

Solution:

Rename the project folder at C:\ProgramData\Semca\Setting\PROJECTNAME to C:\ProgramData\Semca\Setting\PROJECTNAME.CORRUPTED

If the project is not of any importance to you, you can also choose to delete that folder.

If the project is of great importance to you, you can zip the corrupted project folder and add it to a support request. Sometimes we can restore your corrupted project. When any costs are involved, we will notice you in advance.

Prevention:

To prevent a corrupted project, always properly shutdown the Semca application, and always properly shutdown your computer.

A UPS helps prevent unwanted shutdowns caused by power failures.

Make backups of your project regularly to prevent loss of work.
